391,768. Casting-machines. ELEKTRONMETALL GES., Cannstatt, Stuttgart, Germany. July 31, 1931, No. 21959. Convention date, Aug. 28, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 83 (i).] A melting - pot b is automatically charged with elongated pieces of material m by means of a toothed roller g or other gripping device which feeds each piece, at a predetermined rate, continuously or intermittently. The roller g is rotated by means of toothed and ratchet gearing h, k and at each casting stroke ot a die-casting machine using metal from the pot b, by connecting the ratchet lever l to a moving part of the machine. The roller g is pressed against the piece m by a weight attached at i to a bellcrank lever e which carries the roller and is pivoted on the axle f of the gear h.
