[Class 104 (ii).] Rails are secured against creep in chairs a by a pair of tapered curved keys c, which, on their outer surfaces, engage the curved jaws al, a2 and on their inner surfaces grip the rail web. The contacting surfaces of the jaws and keys slope inwards towards the rail web. The inner surfaces of the keys may be ribbed &c., and the base of the chair may be cambered in the longitudinal direction of the rail.
