[Classes 136 (i) and 136 (iii).] In bicycles, toy motor-cars, or like pedal-driven vehicles for training or amusement purposes, e.g: for races in a restricted space, the drive is transmitted to a separate propelling element which is distinct from the usual propelling element (e.g. the rear wheel of a bicycle), and which propels the vehicle at a greatly reduced speed. In the bicycle shown, two side or stabilizing wheels e are arranged at the ends of an axle mounted in a bearing at the lower end of a vertical member b fixed to the crank axle bracket a, and the wheels e are driven at a slow speed by means of chain gearing f from the crank axle.
