[Class 125 (ii).] In a counter-pressure bottle-filling machine of the type having a plug cock, the operating member 7 for which is carried by a bearing independent of the cock, said operating member 7 is independent of the cock 4 but connected thereto and disposed in a comparatively long bearing 6, a plug turning member 8 being provided which is mounted on and connected to the operating member 7 and has a bearing 9 on and coaxial with the bearing 6. In the head of the plug 4 is a slot 10 into which fits a projection 12 on the head 11 of the member 7. A compression spring 15 fits at one end into a recess 13 at the bottom of the slot 10 and at the other end with a recess 14 in the head 11, tending to force apart the plug 4 and the member 7.
