[Class 35.] Conductors ; cores.- An armature for a continuous-current commutator machine has slots which are larger than the space occupied by the insulated conductors C, and the surplus space between the conductors and the bottom of the slot is filled with additional insulating or non- magnetic material E, the object being to increase the radial length a of the teeth. The invention is applicable also to armatures for alternating-current generators having commutators to yield continuous-current for excitation.
