388,657. Oil burners. LUDOLPHI & C. WIEDEMANN NACHFOLGER GES., A., 21, Jõgerstrasse, Wandsbek, Germany. July 23, 1932, No. 20796. Convention date, Feb. 24. [Class 75 (i).] A burner for a petroleum stove comprises a flame chamber assembly 18 including coaxial cylindro-conical perforated rings 20, 21 uprising from a trough 9 and surrounded by an imperforate cylindrical ring 19, a vertically guided member 27 depending from within the innermost ring and extending beneath the trough, bars 22, 23 connecting the rings with the depending member and a cam 30 adapted to engage the lower end of the depending member. The trough 9 contains an asbestos strip 8 and is supplied with liquid fuel from a storage container 3 by way of a valve controlled connection 4 to a smaller container 5 having an outlet pipe 7 leading to the trough. The supply is controlled by a cock 6 in the pipe 7 operated by a knob 11 connected with a pointer 13 moving over a graduated scale 12. To ignite the burner, the flame chamber assembly 18 is raised from the top of the trough by means of the cam 30 operated by a knob 29.
