388,295. Stands for sports grounds. TROEGER, K., St. Moritz-Dorf, Switzerland. July 21, 1932, No. 20627. Convention date, July 21, 1931. [Class 20 (i).] Stands for sports grounds have the seats arranged in tiers, the seats of each tier being adjustable in height and readily removable, the back tiers of seats being mounted on platforms which are also adjustable in height. The seats 1, Fig. 4, are supported at each end on bars 3, 4, hinged together at 6, the hinge of the bar 3 being fixed to the seat while the free end of the bar 4 is adapted to engage wedge bars 51, 5<2>, 5<3> for height adjustment. As shown, the first tier G1 comprises three seats B1, B2, B3 adjusted to different heights and secured to converging transversely disposed ground supports U by means of gravity catches 21 disposed in slots 18 in the supports U and adapted to engage the hinge-pins 7 of the seat supports, which enter the slots 18. The next tier G2 comprises three seats of varying height disposed on platforms L, the height of which is adjustable to two positions by means of levers 12, Fig. 8. For the next tier, G3, two platforms L are superposed and the seats of varying heights are disposed on the upper platform. Steps 14 and a raised platform 15 are fixed in the passages to provide access to the rear seats.
