Convention date, June 3, 1931. [Class 8 (ii).] Shaking means for the filter of a vacuum cleaner &c. comprises a push handle 24 having a flange which on depression engages catches 26 pressed together by a spring and pulls down with it a cross piece 20 and its attached ring 21 carrying the upper edges of the corrugated filter and thus slackens the filter. At the end of the stroke the catches are forced apart by a socket 29 and the cross piece and carrier ring are forced upwards by a spring 22 causing the filter to strike against a ring 19. On releasing the handle it is forced upwards by a spring, re-engaging the catches.
