Abstract
386,078. Endless-chain conveyers. COOK, R. C. V., Countesswells House, Bieldside, Aberdeenshire. Nov. 12, 1931, No. 31333. [Class 78 (i).] In a conveyer used in drying-apparatus &c., of the kind employing a multiple series of driven pairs of sprocket wheels 6 between each pair of which the conveyed material passes, the spindle 17 of each member of a pair of sprockets extends laterally outwards from the conveyer and is connected by gears 16, 15 to a common cross-shaft 13 positioned clear of the material being conveyed. Each shaft 13 is connected by worm gearing to a vertical shaft 11 which is driven from a driving shaft 9 through worm gearing 12.
