Abstract
386,042. Kinematograph apparatus. KODAK, Ltd., Kingsway, London.-(Assignees of Wittel, O. ; 343, State Street, Rochester, New York, U.S.A.) Sept. 22, 1931, No. 26435. Convention date, Oct. 9, 1930. [Class 97 (i).] In claw-feed mechanism wherein the claw is moved in a looped path by two members respectively moving it mainly longitudinally of the film and mainly perpendicular thereto, the direction of the path of the claw on entering and on leaving a film perforation is inclined to the edge of the claw which engages the film, the inclination being rearward with respect to the direction of film feed ; the direction of the claw movement may also have a component rearward with respect to the direction of film movement at such times. The claw may, as described in Specification 386,246, make contact with the rear edge of a film perforation when entering the perforation. As shown, a claw-carrying member 21 is moved by an eccentric 11 and by a cam 14 engaging flanges 25, 28, the eccentric and cam being operatively connected by a gear 7 and a gear 8 having a diameter half that of the gear 7. The member is formed with two tapering claws 24 having a thickness less than the depth of a film perforation, and the relation of the parts of the mechanism is such as to produce a claw path A .. H, Fig. 3.
