Abstract

385,924. Rotary mops. TURNER, W. H., 23, Ellesmere Road South, Chorltoncum-Hardy, Manchester. Oct. 3, 1931, No. 27641/32. Divided on 385,684. [Classes 19 and 60.] A hollow core 1 is formed with slots 2 of key-hole shape adapted to receive doubled. flaps 8 of felt, hair, fibre, rubber, leather, velvet, cotton fabric or like material, the flaps being retained in place by wires 10. The flaps may be split, as shown at 9. A spring-pressed plunger 3 is provided for attachment of the core to a shaft which is grooved to receive the plunger. The core has a receptacle closed by a stopper 6 and adapted to contain polishing or like preparation which is fed to the flaps 8 through holes 7. The flaps may be adapted to come into contact with solid blocks of a buffing preparation as they rotate. Such an arrange. ment may be used instead of or in addition to the reservoir in the mop.
