Abstract
385,526. Illuminant enclosures. SCHNEIDER, B., 30, Schillerstrasse, Eichwalde, near Berlin. June 13, 1932, No. 16731. Convention date, May 14. [Class 75 (ii).] A glass or other transparent or translucent enclosure for use with a suspended, pedestal, or bracket electric lamp comprises an inner tubular hollow body 1 which is open at one end to receive one or more electric lamp bulbs 4 and is surrounded by one or more outer hollow bodies 2 which are closed except for openings for the passage therethrough of the body 1, the bodies 2 being supported by means of one or more projections, such as a shoulder 3, arranged on the body 1 below the bodies 2. The body 1 may be cylindrical or conical and it may be adapted to allow light to pass into the bodies 2 which may be ornamented. The bodies 1, 2 may be of the same or different colour, whilst the bodies 2 may be of the same or different diameter or shape, they may be provided with horizontal, oblique, or vertical reflecting coatings 7, and their positions relative to the body 1 may be changed.
