385,196. Valves; valve gear. BACQUEYRISSE, L., 53 ter, Quai des Grands Augustins, Paris. May 14, 1932, No. 13923. Convention date, May 27, 1931. [Class 7 (vi).] Inlet at 5 and exhaust at 6 are controlled by slide valves 7, 8 formed of thin metal blades which are pressed on to their seatings by the cylinder pressures. Further fluid tightness may be obtained by plates or strips pressed by springs against the faces or edges of the valve blades. Apertures may be formed in the valves to lighten their weight. Actuation of the valves may be effected by cam shafts 20, levers 18, 19, and links 17, with or without returning-springs ; or they may be driven by crank shafts.
