[Class 124.] A percussive tool has a motor driven rotary sleeve 4 surrounding a striker 11, the latter obtaining its longitudinal motion from the centrifugal action of the balls 12 on the surfaces 13. The " spring " action for the cushioning and return of the anvil block or tool socket 8 is obtained by similar balls 14 rotating with the sleeve and acting on the double conical surface 15. The anvil block is held out of range of the striker during idling by the balls 14 entering the groove 16.
