Percussive tools.-The tup 19 of an electropneumatic hammer is moved in accordance with the reciprocation of a compressor piston 15 which slides without rotating upon a central rotating sleeve 6 driven by the armature 5 of an electro-motor and actuating the piston 15 by means of a pin 14 and a groove 13. The motor may rotate the sleeve 6 directly, or, as shown, through toothed gearing 8. The tool is carried in a sleeve 21 rotated through gearing 22, 27 by the sleeve 6.
