Abstract

381,076. Signs. AMAND, R. A., 2, Rue d'Herchies, Baudour, and SABAUT, R. E. L., 42, ChaussÚe de Mons, Soignies, both in Belgium. Feb. 29, 1932, No. 6084. [Class 3 (ii).] A transparent glass stud is anchored to a cement road-surface by peripheral grooves 5, or to a wooden block by screw threads 8. The upper face of the stud may be slightly arched and formed with facets. The stud may be bored at 6 to engage a pin fixed in the road-bed. It may contain reflecting bodies and the top of the bore 6 may be coated with a fluorescent substance. In the form shown in Fig. 4, a wide annular groove 9 is formed above the screw threads to kev with cement. The studs may be of different coloured glasses to indicate traffic directions, and may be arranged to form signs or advertisements.
