Convention date, Nov. 1, 1930. [Class 17 (i).] Repairing.-For shrinking leather, especially a stretched upper margin of a shoe, the leather is clamped between two clamps so as to form a fold between them, and heated jaws of a pressing device are engaged over the fold. Clamps b connected by a bar a are secured to the edge of a shoe upper so as to bring the portions of the margin engaged by the clamps nearer together than normal, and previously heated jaws e of pliers d are engaged over the loose portion between the clamps and pressed together. The clamps may be of the spring type. The jaws of the pliers may be heated electrically.
