Abstract
380,704. Mine linings. SCHNEIDER, M., 94, Hafenstrasse, Ruhrort, Duisburg, Germany. Feb. 5, 1932, No. 3447. Convention date, April 17, 1931. [Class 86.] Underground workings are lined with a continuous surface formed of interlocking metal units 3 supported by transverse frames. The units, Fig. 5, may be of two separate patterns, one provided with pressed up beads near the longitudinal edges, while the other is provided with recessed edges 9 to interlock. Alternatively, the units may be formed similar with a bead 7, Fig. 6, near one edge and a recess 9 at the other edge. The units may be of curved cross section and the meeting edges formed of dovetail section. Adjacent units are arranged in staggered fashion with their ends resting on the cross supports 2 to which they are clamped by bolts 13 and clamps 12, Fig. 4. Angle-shaped units 15 are used at the angles to join the roof and wall series of lining members.
