[Class 38 (v).] In a distribution board, a base a. of insulating material is formed with a dovetailed or undercut slot b in which slide insulating members e and terminal members d of conducting material. Any number of terminal and insulating members may be secured in the slot between a fixed abutment formed by a raised part c of the base and the movable abutment k, which is clamped in any position by a screw n. Co-operating inclined faces i, j are provided on the insulating and terminal members respectively. The upper part of each terminal member is shaped with one or more grooves in which the conductors are secured by clamping screws g. The tendency of the screws to expand the grooves may be checked by metal caps h. The slot b may be parallel to the sides of the base.
