Abstract

379,040. Paint tins &c. POSTANS, MORLEY BROS. & BIRTLES, Ltd. and MORLEY, G. F., Trevor Street Works, Birmingham. July 1, 1931, No. 18949. [Classes 66 and 125 (i).] In a tin or like container for paint &c. having a brush combined with the lid, a sump consisting of a concave recess is formed in the flat bottom so that when the lid is placed on the tin, the brush will enter the sump. The tin comprises a seamed cylindrical wall 1, bottom 2, formed with a sump 7 and a ring 3 into the opening of which fits the lid 4, which has a domed centre with a cylindrical ribbed neck portion 5 to which is attached the brush 6. If desired, the neck 5 may be screw-threaded and open so that a cap with a brush may be screwed on to it. Specification 347,479 is referred to. According to the Provisional Specification, in lieu of a sump the bottom of the tin may be of dished conical or like formation.
