Abstract

378,850. Fusible cut-outs. EVANS, W. E., 2, Radcliffe Road, Winchmore Hill, London. April 7, 1931, No. 10216. [Class 38 (i).] A magazine fuse comprises radiating strips 1 of fusible metal attached to a common centre 2 and mounted between a pair of insulating discs 3, 4. A central terminal 6 establishes contact with the strips, the other terminal 14 projecting through one of a series of perforations 12 in the disc 3, into contact with one strip. The engagement of the terminal with the perforation locks the discs against rotation until the discs are lifted against a spring 10 by means of a knob 8 which can then be turned to put a new fuse in circuit. One or both discs may be cut away at 13 to expose the fuses.
