[Class 83 (iv).] Deis.-A lever 7 pivoted on the side of the machine remote from an upsetting stamp 11 is swung out of position to permit the work 3 to be moved along a bed 5 into position between clamping-jaws 2, the lever then being raised to bring up a stop 8 thereon against which the work is caused to abut. The supporting member 6 for the gauge stop may be adjusted longitudinally by nuts working on screwed spindles.
