[Class 59.] In a nut-cracking machine a table 6 is adapted to slide in guideways in a frame 4 provided with an upstanding jaw 8. The table is provided with a jaw 9 and a cam 12 pivoted to the table is adapted to draw the jaw 9 toward the jaw 8, the return action being effected by a spring 15. The cam may be operated by power or pedal and series of machines may be operated from a common source of power.
