Abstract

376,512. Thread guides for doubling, twisting, and like machines. ATKINSON, J. S., Mill House, Ilkley Road, Otley, Yorkshire. July 25, 1931, No. 21272. [Class 120 (ii).] In doubling, twisting or like machines additional threadguiding members 2, 3, 4 are arranged below the ordinary thread guide-eye f so that each thread in the series of threads to be twisted or doubled together is kept separate from the other threads until a point after the additional guiding members. The thread guides 2, 3, 4 are fixed at a<1> to a base member a which is adjustably fixed between the lever b and the adjustable balancing weight c fixed on said lever by the screw d. The threads 5 .. 8, Fig. 3, after passing through the opening f<1> in the guide-eye fare kept separate by the guides 2, 3, 4 after which they are twisted as shown at g. The ends of the guides 2, 3, 4 are bent laterally to facilitate the passing of the threads between them.
