Abstract

375,536. Electric blasting fuzes. LIGNOZA SPOLKA AKCYJNA, 13, Ul Dworcowa, Katowice, Poland. June 16, 1931, No. 17493. Convention date, July 23, 1930. [Class 9 (i).] The circuit 3, 31 of electric blasting fuzes 2 is shunted near the source 1 by a device 4 adapted to become interrupted when a current flows therethrough, thereby causing an increase in the voltage applied to the distant blasting fuzes. The device 4 may be a resistance wire which burns out, or a circuit breaker operated electromagnetically or otherwise, for example by the fusing of a wire. An inductance may be put in series with the resistance wire or circuit breaker to enhance the effect. Specification 326,280, [Class 9 (i), Ammunition &c.], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also an inductance in parallel with a resistance wire, and the arrangement of such devices near the blasting fuze. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Specification 313,605, [Class 9 (i), Ammunition &c.], also is referred to.
