Abstract

374,676. Trailer vehicles. WATKINSON, R. W., 11, Hovingham Terrace, Harehills, Leeds. July 27, 1931, No. 21343. [Class 108 (i).] In a truck for transporting vehicles the track or rails which is usually arranged longitudinally of the truck is disposed on a turntable arrangement so that the vehicle may be loaded on or unloaded from the truck at either side. The frame 1 mounted on wheels 2 is provided with a turntable 5 having a central pivot 4 and supporting peripheral rollers 7 adapted to coact with. the annular run 8, a circular toothed rack 9 fixed to the turntable being engaged by a toothed pinion 11 for rotating the turntable. The pinion may be driven from a handle-wheel 16 by shafts 13, 15 and worm gearing 12. The platform 10 is provided with the track or rails for the vehicle to be transported.
