Abstract

374,668. Brackets. HINGLEY, T. P., Apex Works, Uxbridge Road, Southall, Middlesex, and CROUCH, G: H., 24, Pembridge Crescent, Notting Hill Gate, London. July 20, 1931, No. 20706. [Class 52 (v).] A putlog F, Fig. 1, is attached to a wall J bv a clamping device comprising two mutually-hinged semicircular members A, B, of which the member A carries a " shroud " I which forms an end wall for the members when they are closed. The putlog is clamped between the members by a bolt G, Fig. 3, which extends through the lugs D. The shroud I has a tapered prong H which is adapted to be driven into the wall. In modifications, the prong is replaced by a screw which screws into the wall, or the plate I is extended and lies flat against'the wall to which it is secured by nails or the like.
