[Class 146 (ii).] In a carrier for pamphlets, samples, &c. with an envelope portion open at one end and a cover extension extending from the envelope portion, a portion of the cover extension is provided with adhesive and adapted to overlap a closure flap of the envelope portion, attaching the cover extension to the flap and to the envelope. The carrier may be made of a single piece of cut and creased material having a central rectangular section forming the back of the envelope portion 11, a section 15 having a curved cut-out portion 16 at one end and which is folded over the central section to form the front of the envelope, a flap 25 adapted to be gummed over the section 15, a closure flap 27 foldable over the open end of the envelope portion 11, and a cover extension 12 adapted to be folded over the section 15 and provided with a strip 30 of adhesive for attachment to the section 15 and the edge portion 28 of the closure flap 27. The section 15 is gummed along its outer edge for attachment to the central portion of the envelope except for a portion 18a at the top end which folds back to allow of the insertion of a pamphlet, booklet, sample, &c., into the envelope. For postal transmission at the cheap rate, the strip 30 of adhesive is terminated so that the flap 27 is unattached.
