Abstract
374,316. Brakes. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.-(Cleveland Tractor Co. ; Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.) July 20, 1931, No. 20694. [Class 103 (i).] In clutch-brake mechanism, a brake disc 31, revolubly mounted on the clutch control sleeve 27, is carried into contact with a disc 30 on the driven shaft 17 by a declutching yoke lever 35, having two-point contact at 39 with the disc 31 and a swivel mounting 36, 37 on a fulcrummember 34 turning on a transverse shaft 33, in order to avoid uneven thrust on the disc. An arm 43 on the clutch-pedal shaft 44 is adjustably connected to a link 42 and by the link to one of three holes 40 in the upper end of the lever 35, the holes 40 being flared at each end to allow swivelling about the securing- pin 41. The invention is shown applied to a tractor having an engine unit 12 secured to transmission housings 10, 11 which serve also as the tractor frame.
