Abstract
373,290. Photo-electric cells. ASSOCIATED TELEPHONE & TELEGRAPH CO., 1033, West Van Buren Street, Chicago, U.S.A. Feb. 26, 1931, No. 6070. Convention date, April 30, 1930. [Class 39 (i).] An invisible image is formed by invisible rays reflected from a distant object on a photoelectric plate arranged in close proximity to a fluorescent screen on which a visible image is produced. This photo-electric tube comprises two parallel plates 4, 5, Fig. 1, each coated with silver and ruled so as to form a bar 21, Fig. 3, at one end for battery connections and a series of bars 22 forming a grid. The grid 4 is coated with photo-electric material, and the grid 5 with fluorescent material while a high-tension battery 7 connects the two grids. The lens 2 forms an invisible object on the plate 4, producing an electron emission therefrom which produces a corresponding visible image on the fluorescent screen 5.
