372,886. Cheques &c. BLACK, H. D., The Island, Uxbridge, Middlesex. March 13, 1931, No. 7764. [Class 16.] Relates to means for preventing fraudulent alteration in manifoldwriting devices for issuing tickets, bills, receipts, &c., in which matter written on the tickets &c. before issue is recorded on one or more duplicate forms. The supporting plate 6 for the forms is provided with an engraved, perforated, or otherwise roughened surface 15, so as to break up or otherwise modify the outline of the inscription on the duplicate forms, and render alteration difficult. The roughened surface may be formed on a detachable plate 14 sliding in grooves, to enable the form of the surface to be changed.
