139,157. Hedman Manufacturing Co., (Assignees of Fesler, D. F.). Feb. 21, 1919, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Cheques, drafts. and the like.-To prevent fraudulent issuing of cheques, drafts, &c., more particularly of those which have their values printed thereon, they are printed by means of a cheque-printing machine with certain fraud-preventative characters individual to the drawer and also valuable as advertising matter, such as the name of the company or a goods mark used by the company. The fraud-preventative type is arranged to print the characters immediately in front of the value printing. The figure shows " A.B.C. Co." printed before the value numerals. The fraud-preventative type may be used with written cheques and may print anywhere thereon.
