Abstract

370,656. Antidazzle screens for vehicles. ARMITAGE, L. R., 6A, Spring- field Parade, Palmers Green, London. April 14, 1931, No. 10986. Drawings to Specification. [Class 103 (ii).] In a non-shatterable vehicle windscreen comprising two sheets of glass with an intervening sheet of non-shatterable material, the upper portion of the material is during the manufacturing process dyed, coloured with a combination of colours, or formed with a series of parallel strips or lines, to serve as an antidazzle device, the strips or lines being formed on each side of the material and arranged in staggered relationship to provide a venetian blind effect. The strips or lines are obtained by slicing thin layers from a block of the non- shatterable material, colouring the layers, remaking the block with a series of the coloured layers over the area which is to form the antidazzle means, and then slicing the re-made block at an incline.
