Abstract

370,206. Mixing cement &c. BYRD, A. A. A., 110, Mansion House Chambers, Queen Victoria Street, London. April 23, 1931, No. 12065. [Class 86.] A portable apparatus for mixing cement &c. in small quantities comprises a planetary motion, hand-operated mixing blade mounted on a detachable frame which straddles a bucket, in combination with another frame which can also be placed on the bucket and carries receptacles for measured quantities of water and cement &c. The mixing blade p carried by an arm which s rotated by bevel gear from a hand crank f, the blade spindle having a pinion meshing with a fixed central pinion. Another blade q, having a simple rotary motion, scrapes the side of the bucket. The cement &c. is placed in a container u having a pivoted discharge door and mounted pivotally on a frame r, a jogging motion being imparted to the container by a cam w on the crank shaft engaging an arm w on the container. The frame also carries a water vessel z closed by a hand-operated plug.
