370,089. Metal tubes. BUNDY TUBING CO., 4815, Bellevue Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Quarnstrom, B. L. ; 4802, Nottingham Road, Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, U.S.A.) Jan. 29, 1931, No. 2875. Convention date, March 26, 1930. [Class 99 (ii).] A metal tube having inner and outer plies 1, 2 formed by rolling a single strip of stock, has a longitudinal seam which comprises an offset 3, formed in the stock and disposed at an angle of less than 90‹ to the adjoining portions thereof, against the opposite sides 5, 7 of which the edges 4, 6 of the stock abut. The plies are sealed by solder, molten copper, &c. 10 which also fills the triangular spaces 8, 9 between the edges of the stock and the offset. The tube may have a copper coating deposited on the outer and inner surfaces of the inner and outer plies respectively, the latter being sealed by solder 10 ; alternatively the whole surface of the stock may be coated.
