[Class 4.] An aircraft wing comprises a stressed covering c which is attached to rigid profile members extending in the direction of flight and carried by latticework spars a.The profile members may be T-shaped as shown at d, Fig. 2, channel section as at e, or as a lattice beam i<1>. In the arrangement shown at f the covering is secured. by a superposed channel member g. In a further modification lattice-beam profile members are employed and the covering lies on their upper sides. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 157,953, 190,254, and 274,092, [all in Class 4, Aeronautics].
