Abstract

368,936. Snap-action switches. CRABTREE, J. A., Endwood, Little Aston Park, Sutton Coldfield. Feb. 6, 1931, No. 3767. [Class 38 (v).] In a snap-action toggle switch of the ironclad type, the fulcrum pin of the toggle link is carried solely by a side wall of the box and comprises a stud riveted to the side wall together with studs which serve as stops for the toggle rocker-arm which is formed of two plates rigidly secured together by end-shouldered rivets to prevent twisting. The side wall is preferably made of sheet metal incorporated during the casting operation of the box as described in Specification 368,753. Specification 368,338 also is referred to.
