Abstract

A preparation for application to the body for deodorizing perspiration consists of an inorganic colloidal base, such as colloidal hydrate of aluminium, chromium, iron, zinc or tin, in the form of a sol or gel, precipitated or not, dried or not, mixed with a cream, pomade or a toilet liquid or powder, the drying of the said base taking place at a temperature which does not destroy its colloidal properties. For example, 8-10 per cent by weight of aluminium hydroxide gel, prepared from hydrated aluminium sulphate by dialysis, is mixed with cold cream. Or, 75 grams of colloidal aluminium hydrate suspended in a litre of water are mixed with 500 grams of perfumed alcohol.
