Abstract
368,387. Iroxing-machines. SMITH, G. H., 32. High Street, Warwick. Dec. 6, 1930, No. 36818. [Class 138 (ii).] Longitudinal channels 1 in the periphery of the roller of a Desoudun machine beneath the padding 2 communicate with spaces formed between the end of the roller and a webbed ring 3 seamed thereto and spaced therefrom. This ring is provic ed with apertures 4. A duct 5 leading to a sour ce of suction is provided with a semicircular mouth 6 which communicates with such of the apertures 4 as correspond to the channels in the roller within the concave bed. A bar 10 extends between the limbs of the mouth 6 and is received in the bifurcated portion 7b of a bracket 7 carried in an annular recess 8 in a sleeve 9 secured to the roller shaft 15. The duct is pressed by a spring 11 into contact with the ring 3. Rotation of the bracket is prevented by a relatively stationary rod 13 engaging an eye 14 on the bracket.
