Convention date, March 11, 1930. [Class 36.] To prevent electrical leakage along the surface of an insulating sleeve b, Fig. 1, having a metal core a which supports and insul metal members h, h<1>, tightly-fitting rings of soft rubber or other elastic insulating material are disposed on the sleeve b. The rings c, which may be secured in position by a rubber solution or the like, may be formed with a plurality of ribs, as shown in Fig. 2, to permit the use of separating walls e. As shown in Fig. 3, the rings may be built up from hardrubber bushes g, g<1> and soft-rubber bushes f, f<1>, or a plurality of circular rings may be arranged as shown in Fig. 4 to form a composite ring of triangular cross section.
