366,400. Weighing-apparatus fitted to cigarette-making machines. UNIVERSELLE CIGARETTENMASCHINEN-FABRIK J. C. MœLLER & CO., 48, Zwickauerstrasse, Dresden, Germany. June 2, 1931, No. 16109. Convention date, June 2, 1930. [Class 143.] Cigarettes for sampling by weighing are removed in groups from a discharge drum 5 by a plate 1 and deposited on a scale pan 6. The plate is mounted on the pivot of a bellcrank lever 9, 9<1> which bears on a revolving cam disc 11 actuated by a ratchet mechanism 12, 13. The pawl 13 is mounted on one arm of a bell-crank lever 14 which is engaged by a cam 16<1> on the discharge drum. When the plate is moved away from the drum the cigarettes are deflected by a plate 7 on to a discharge belt 8.
