Abstract
<PICT:0365579/III/1> Apparatus for the production of ozone according to the process described in the parent Specification comprises a partially evacuated vessel containing an electrode which is spaced away from the internal surface of the vessel. The other electrode in the form of a metal grid is arranged on the outside surface of the vessel. The vessel may be filled with an inert gas such as neon or argon which is conductive under the normal conditions of working. The Figure shows one embodiment of the apparatus in which the vessel 3<1> is mounted in a socket, and the internal electrode is in the form of a helical filament 6<1> arranged on the axis of the vessel. This electrode is connected to the high tension side of the supply.
