365,242. Heating water by electricity. BARKER, G. P., 112, Dovelays Road, Pendleton, Manchester. Nov. 13, 1930, No. 34135. [Class 39 (iii).] In a hot-water cylinder a wherein an encased heating element e is surrounded by a further casing b having an inlet f and an outlet c leading to the upper part of the cylinder, the element e and casing bare inclined and the outlet leads from the higher end of the casing. The casing b and outlet connection c may be fitted with air jackets k. Additional outlets g may be provided in the casing b. An additional similar heating arrangement may be fitted half-way up the cylinder. The elements are fitted with separate thermostatic controls.
