Jan. 24, 1931, No. 2374. Convention date, April 5, 1930. [Class 8 (i).] A rotatable beating member provided in a vacuum cleaner is of substantially elliptical cross section and may be twisted. The beater shown is in two parts i, k separated by a pulley m driven by a belt from the motor b ; the parts carry bristles n<1>, n<2>. The beater may be longitudinally divided into two parts screwed together.
