Abstract
364,302. Kinematograph apparatus. ELECTRICAL RESEARCH PRODUCTS, Inc., 195, Broadway, New York, U.S.A. and FULLERTON, D. P., Bush House, Aldwych, London. Dec. 12, 1930, No. 37529. [Class 97 (i).] In apparatus in which the film passes continuously through a viewing or projecting aperture, and is illuminated instantaneouslv each time the aperture is filled by an image, illumination is effected by a glow discharge lamp. As shown, the film 1 is drawn along a track 2 having a viewing aperture 3 by a four-picture sprocket 8. A glow discharge lamp 4 is energized either directly or through a step-up transformer 11, by a battery 5 and a commutator comprising four contact pieces 6a mounted on the shaft 7 of the sprocket 8 and engaging contacts 9a in a normally-fixed ring 9. The ring 9 is rotatable by a handle 9b for timing purposes.
