Abstract

363,889. Spray carburetters. WINTER, K. M., (trading as WINTER, HIMMELKRON NAHMASCHINEN FAHRRAD-REPAR., ERSATZTEILE), Himmelkron, Germany. Feb. 13, 1931, No. 4617. Convention date, Feb. 13, 1930. [Class 7 (iii).] The air supply to the carburetter is shut off if the circulation of lubricating oil fails or works improperly, the device also serving to provide a supply of rich mixture at starting. A disc b is mounted to rotate with the air throttle e and is formed with a vane n which operates in a sector o lying within the circuit f, l of the lubricating system. If the oil is too thin or not circulating properly, the vane n returns to the position shown in dotted lines so as to stop the engine. At starting, the oil is cold and thick and delays the opening of the throttle, and a rich mixture is drawn into the engine.
