363,513. Weighing-apparatus. AVERY, Ltd., W. & T. and TIMSON, W., Soho Foundry, Birmingham. Dec. 31, 1930, No. 39241. Addition to 338,996, [Class 143, Weighing-apparatus]. [Class 143.] Printed records, apparatus for giving. -The means claimed in the parent Specification for preventing a printing o p e ration being effected except when the apparatus is in equilibrium is modified by providing the oscillatory member 8 (vibrated by a dashpot when the weighing mechanism moves) with a plurality of slots 8a, 8b, 8c interconnected by necks which must be in absolute register with the path of the projection 4c of the printing lever 4a during a printing operation before the printing lever can be actuated and through each of which necks the projection must pass before a correct printed record can be obtained. As the projection 4c passes through the neck 8e the chart is gripped in known manner to hold it during the printing operation. The printing handle 4b is yieldingly connected to the main portion 4a and carries a toothed member 6 so that if undue pressure is applied to the handle the lever bends and the teeth on the member 6 engage a fixed stop 7a and prevent violent forces being transmitted to the oscillatory member 8.
