Abstract
363,159. Laminated springs. NIELSEN, E. J. W., Ross Hall, Bowen, -Queensland, Australia. Jan. 7, 1931, No. 543. Convention date, Feb. 10, 1930. [Class 108 (iii).] A metallic roller F provided with a central flange G, or with two flanges near its ends, which engage a groove or grooves in the main leaf E of a vehicle laminated-suspension-spring is interposed between the end of the dumb-iron and the spring. In one form, the roller F is situated in a casting A secured to or formed integral with the dumb-iron B. In a modification the end L, Fig. 4, of the,main leaf E is turned up and a snubber which includes two end cap pieces N, N<1> and a helical spring M is interposed between the end of the dumb-iron and a bolt Q mounted in the portion L of the main leaf E.
