289,041. Rheinische Metallwaarenund Maschinenfabrik. April 22, 1927, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Endless-track vehicles.-Comprises an endlesstrack vehicle in which the load is greatest on the rollers bearing on the track at the transverse plane passing through the centre of gravity of the vehicle and is less on the other rollers according to their distance from this central plane. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the load is transmitted from the frame a through springs f<1>, equalizing springs g<1>, g<2> and equalizing levers i to the rollers k bearing on the track e. The springs g', g<2> and levers i are formed with long arms directed towards the nearer end of the vehicle and with short arms directed towards the centre, thus producing the desired variable loading. Additional springs l may be used to increase the load on the central rollers. In a modification the central spring is the stiffest and the other decrease in strength in regular succession towards the end of the vehicle.
