362,237. Doors for passenger vehicles. RIMMINGTON, F., 14, Norbury Avenue, Thornton Heath, Surrey. Feb. 6, 1931, No. 3845. [Class 103 (ii).] In motor road vehicles the front of a passenger compartment b situated behind the driver's seat a is entirely closed by two arcuate doors c, d capable of moving more or less transversely of the vehicle, the doors being guided in their movements by radius rods e, f mounted about a pivotal centre g. The weight of the doors is taken by arcuate tracks h, i which support the radius rods near the doors. Rollers e<1>, f may be fitted to the radius rods and guide grooves, guide rails, or radius rods situated below the floor, may be fitted to guide the bottoms of the doors. Compressed air or suction apparatus, which may be supplied from the vehicle engine; may be fitted for operating the doors, and a bell or buzzer may be arranged to give warning when the doors are in motion.
